Cornerstone Athletics
2009 – 2010 marks the 9th year of competitive athletics at Cornerstone Academy. We are full members of FHSAA (Florida High School Athletic Association) and FCAL (Florida Christian Athletic League). Our varsity and junior varsity athletic programs include volleyball, girls and boys basketball, soccer and baseball. We also offer soccer, volleyball and basketball for both our grammar and middle schools.
At Cornerstone the athletes are encouraged to compete with a passion recognizing that their gifts and talents are God given. They are challenged to honor God with their attitude and effort, and with a patience that demonstrates a consistent Christ like testimony. Cornerstone Academy will compete with success as one of its goals, however, our primary goal will always be to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ in all that we do.
Thanks to the outstanding support of our Cougar Boosters, coaches, athletes and parents we have accomplished great things: FCAL Conference and District Championships in volleyball (2006-2009), basketball (2007-2009), and soccer (2005-2009) and NACA National Championships in volleyball (2007) and soccer (2007, 2009). We currently hold a 1A classification with FHSAA, however, our program has progressed to include a competitive game schedule which includes 2A-5A schools along with local rivals.
I have had the privilege of serving as Cornerstone Academy's Athletic Director since 2006. I am very grateful to have played a role in the growth and success of our athletic program. As our school continues to grow in both size and maturity we will work hard to provide the best athletic experience possible!
